'If he dies, he dies'

In a separate interview with USA Today, Wilder continued to up the ante with his talk.

“If he dies, he dies,” Wilder said of Breazeale. “This is boxing. This is not a gentleman’s sport. This is a gladiator’s sport. And with bad blood, we know I possess the power.”

Wilder told USA Today that the bad blood between him and Breazeale stems from an event back in February 2017. Wilder won a fight against Gerald Washington, who Breazeale had been rooting for. Wilder said Breazeale had made threatening remarks to his brother.

Deontay Wilder is one of maybe seven people on earth where I believe every single word he says.

This is so much BULLSHIT

and what is WORSE ...

it's being promoted as SPORT.

If we threw two ANIMALS into an enclosure and allowed them to do the same thing we would be arrested.

case in point

Animal Fighting – Michael Vick

And we need to ask ourselves ... WHY,

we want to witness two humans in an enclosure,

doing what we won't allow ANIMALS do,

and in the name of sport, ...

 we are ENTERTAINED.

Wilder goes into gladiator mode:

Wilder is nearly undefeated in his career at 40-0-1 with 39 knockouts. He’s coming off a draw to Tyson Fury, which he looked back on this week with Yahoo Sports’ Kevin Iole, and doesn’t intend to meet the same fate against Breazeale (20-1, 18 KOs).

He had a very different fate in mind. From USA Today Sports:

If he dies, he dies. This is boxing. This is not a gentleman’s sport. This is a gladiator’s sport. And with bad blood, we know I possess the power.

“Man, this fight, with the bad blood we got, I don’t see this fight going long,’’ Wilder said. “I’ll be surprised if this fight goes past three rounds. I don’t like this guy.

I don’t have no good intentions for him. I wish the worst on him.

Which raises another question.

If GOD forbid, something should happen where by which someone does die, given the above statements made by one of the contenders, should the promoters and sponsors of such an event be held culpable for what might well be a case of aggravated assault, and perhaps even a murder. Or because of it's ENTERTAINMENT value would it simply be a justifiable homicide.

  1. It is pretty that there are no "WINNERS" in this sport. They are all "LOSERS".
