Gus Kenworthy Shares Homophobic Comments

America’s first openly gay Olympic freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy has been unwavering in expressing who he is. But since opening up about his sexuality, he has also faced an onslaught of hateful comments online.

He said: “I am so proud to be from the U.S. and to be from a country where you are able to voice your political opinions and stand up for what you believe in. I think that when you have a platform, you have to use it, especially when you feel very strongly about something.”

Earlier this week, to make a point to those who believe “homophobia doesn’t exist anywhere,” Gus Kenworthy revealed some of the anti-gay abuse he gets on his YouTube channel.

Why in 2019, is it ok, to call a member of the 
LGBT community a 'F _ gg _ t'
but it is not acceptable to call someone from the
Black community a 'N _ gg _ r'

I would suggest that that there are hundreds and perhaps even THOUSANDS of grieving parents, suffering the heartbreak and lose of a child lost to a suicide, because their loved one was unable to cope with this biggoted oppressive attitude and behaviour, and lacked the courage to come 'OUT'. Not to mention perhaps many other lives lost to a suicide for which there seems to be no reason or explanation.
