Federal government to consider Toronto’s proposed handgun ban, Goodale says.


Federal Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Minister Ralph Goodale arrives to the House of Commons in Ottawa on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. Mr. Goodale told reporters the idea of a handgun ban was also recently brought forward by those affected by the January, 2017, Quebec City mosque shooting, in which six people were killed.



Toronto Mayor John Tory asked Ottawa to consider a nationwide ban on handguns.

I find it interesting that people will get up in ARMS (pun intended) and insist that all Pit Bulls be put down and the breed be eradicated when we hear of a person being mauled or KILLED (another pun) by the animal, yet we will fight to the DEATH (again intended) to defend our right to own a gun. Perhaps we need to just give every gun owner a DOG.
